First meeting – Getting to know you
The first thing we do at Doggone is meet you and your pets in your home so we can all get to know and trust each other and decide on the best type of service for you and your pets. Luke likes to take your dog on a short walk around the block to spend some one on one time, see how you dog behaves away from you, assess his knowledge of basic commands and reassure him I will bring him home after our walk.
At this first meeting please have any essential information you would want us to know including emergency contact details, your Veterinarian and any keys necessary to gain access to service your pets.
Keys
Keys to your garden or house are never identified by your name or address only by your dog’s name and my phone number.
Cancellation
I ask for at least three days notice for a one off cancellation. If you need to cancel for a week or more then as much notice as you can reasonably manage is requested.
Doggone is a small business and has capacity for a limited number of clients. Your regular booking is accepted on the basis that you will use and pay for that booking just as you should expect I will honour you booking and walk your dog as agreed.
Short notice cancellation will incur payment in full if you wish to maintain your regular booking.
If you dog is sick or injured you may cancel any time without penalty.
Illness or injury
If the animal falls ill or is injured during the time it is under the care of Doggone, Luke will provide a high quality of care, all attempts will be made to contact the owner via emergency numbers. If your pet is in need of urgent veterinary assistance the Luke will consult your vet in the first instance or another vet should yours be unavailable.
Please be advised Doggone will not be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the services provided by any veterinarian.
By booking a service with Doggone the pet owner agrees to pay any costs associated (including veterinarian and transport costs) with any illness or injury which may occur while the pet is under the care of Doggone.
Notify your Vet
We request you notify your Veterinarian that Doggone is caring for your pet and any consultations and treatments required for the pet will be paid in full by the pet owner
